Dominic Orsler
PCN Program Manager Comox Valley Division of Family Practice

Having elected to earn a PhD at Medical School rather than an MD, Dominic came to Canada twenty years ago in pursuit of rock climbing and mountaineering dreams. Starting a young family put something of a dent in those plans, however! Dominic has spent most of his career specializing in Health System Transformation but has also developed broader expertise by working as a consultant in a wide range of industries, including biotechnology, life sciences, energy and the environment, primarily working with government, academia and the public sector. He and his family moved to the Comox Valley a little over a year ago from Bragg Creek, Alberta, and have since fallen in love with the area and its people. As the program manager for the Comox Valley Primary Care Network, Dominic brings passion, vision and enthusiasm to the development of tomorrow’s family-focused, patient-centric health system, designed to detect and address gaps in health outcomes among the Valley’s diverse and complex population.
